By March 2019, the Philippine public will have one National ID System. About one million individuals are set to register for the Unconditional Cash Transfers on March 2019 and the rest 25 million Filipinos can register by September according to Head of the Philippine Statistics Authority Lisa Grace Bersales (PSA). She mentioned that they are going to register first the Filipino citizens who don’t have government-issued IDs, indigenous people, senior citizens, Person with Disabilities (PWDs) and beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The rules and regulations will be released by PSA as soon as the new Identification System (PhilSys) has come out. The identification platform will be implanted under the Republic Act No. 11055. It’s also called the PhilSys Act which will be the nationalized ID system of the Philippines after it has been released. The third week of October marks the opening of the bid procurement period for the national identification system and hopefully by December, they will announce the results for the PhilSys.
The bidding will require a competitive system for the PhilSys so it can be awarded to the rightful candidate and Bersales said that it’s possible to announce it before the year ends. Every important detail about a person will be included in his Philippine National ID like full name, date of birth, s*x, blood type, place of birth, nationality, address and other pertinent information like mobile number, email address and marital status. The PhilSys Act advises that ID holders take good care of their National IDs because of all the relevant information in it. As a holder, you can’t just show it to anyone but only offices and establishments that are legal and truly needs to see that ID. What do you think about this ID? v ffff
