Overseas Filipino Workers in need of assistance in Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA can now head to the help desk of the airport. This is regarding to assistance needed for their E-cards. Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) will help all OFWs with their E-cards needs and they will give assistance through the help desk at NAIA terminals 1,2, and 3. An OFW E-card doubles as a government ID. It’s a proof that the E-card holder is an OWWA member. This includes welfare services, social benefits, training programs, and scholarships. OWWA announces they are ready to assists OFWs anytime at their help desk.
They already announced the assistance desk according to OWWA Representative Hans Leo Cacdac. A family member is also allowed to get the E-card for the OFW if they can present an authorization letter from the Overseas Filipino Worker who needs the ID plus the passport copy. The Help Desk at NAIA for OFWs and their representatives can help them when getting their E-cards. It makes it easier for OFWs to get it the card.
This initiative from NAIA makes getting E-cards easier. When OFWs visit home, they want to spend more time with their families that’s why they almost have no time anymore to do chores so this will help them have quality time together. The services and programs of OWWA can be accessed when you show your E-card to the OWWA Regional Welfare Office, Philippine Consulate and Embassies and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO).
