Japan has opened around 50K vacancies in their top industries and they’re eyeing to hire foreign workers especially Filipinos. This is to fill their manpower requirements. According to Jose Laurel V, Philippine Ambassador to Japan, the Japanese government has given the go signal to allow foreigners to work in their country upon issuance of work visas.
Ambassador Laurel further stressed out that the Japanese government is still polishing their regulations on hiring foreigners. This because it’s the first time since the war that they will be allowing foreigners to work in their country. He said that if Japan fails to address their aging problem, the 3rd generation of Japanese populace won’t be able to meet its demand for the labor force. By the end of 2019, there will be 50K foreigners that will be given a working visa and will contribute to the improvement of Japan’s workforce. This will be in the sector of information technology, manufacturing, engineering, and caregiving. Interested applicants should make sure that they meet the requirements to qualify.
